I don't recall any prior ARPGs having a class with controllable summons, possibly making it unique to the genre as a whole, which in itself is notable. While that doesn't negate the summoners that came before, their prior existence doesn't negate the distinctiveness of this one. The game did not have this type of summoner before this. So, people were and are essentially implying otherwise. it is quite obvious the crucial difference between the two is either being downplayed or dismissed. When the response to a class with controllable summons is that summoners already exist. Then you said the new class can control theirs as if that makes the others not summoners. The OP said the game will finally have summons and Elveone pointed out it already has summons. No one said otherwise before you came in and started arguing about it. It is a good class but as I said before it does not turn the game into an RTS. I am telling you this because you are overhyping yourself and you are going to get disappointed. The Cursed Captain will still have direct control of summons which no class has, and to a greater degree than you are willing to acknowledge. You can tell them to focus fire and buff them. Summons as they are now can only do as you say, so don't need to be controlled. Don't get me wrong - the captain is a good summoner class but it is not impossible to create really good summoner builds with the available classes as well. You don't really need to control the summons though because they are a horde and they basically kill everything around you pretty fast. None of those have direct control over their summons, as the Cursed Captain will. Guess I'll wait to see if it's any good before getting the game though.ģ out the 4 previous classes have summoner builds.
